As members of the Australian Labradoodles Association of America, ALAA, we strive to better the breed with every litter.  ALAA has set the standard for Australian Labradoodles and have created a detailed breed standard. Along with the temperament and size families should also be looking for dogs with solid structure. For detailed information about the structure of the Australian Labradoodles, ALD, I suggest following the link below to the ALAA website.

All information listed below comes directly from the ALAA website. Their pages are full of valuable information and we highly recommend you check it out and become a Pet Member!

Temperament

Labradoodles have an extremely clever, sociable, comical and joyful temperament. Energetic when free and quiet when handled. The should approach people in a happy, friendly manner. Labradoodles are keen and easy to train. They should display an intuition.

They have an emotional understanding of family members or handler’s current state or needs. This ability to “know” is what has made the Australian Labradoodle an excellent dog for individuals with special needs.
